IMPORTANT: Before using the software to change the display, adjust the physical controls on your monitor first. (The performance of the disc is slowed if you use software controls to modify the image.)
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe greyscale helps calibrate contrast and brightness.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe white at top should appear as pure white, the black at bottom as pure black. In between, there should be ten even steps of gray.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe color bars of red, green, and blue should appear distinct and without any overall color cast.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe work of art is provided to help you to make a more subjective evaluation of changes.<\Break>
If adjusting the physical controls on your monitor doesn't produce a satisfactory image, adjust the sliders at the bottom of the Test Image window.<\Break>
Note: Be patient as the software recalculates the effect of your choices.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òChanges will be reflected throughout the disc.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òThe result will be a slight lag in display of artwork as changes are calculated.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òFirst an unadjusted version of the artwork will display; then the screen will be updated to reflect adjustments.
<\Break><\Indent 20> òTo reset color adjustments, click "restore defaults."<\Break><\Break>
